Delete your account & data
Applies to the Zolt companion app for Tesla vehicles · Last updated: June 4, 2026
You can ask us to delete your Zolt account and the data associated with it
at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, and exactly what data is deleted
and what (if anything) we keep.
How to request deletion
Choose whichever is easiest — either one will start the process:

What is deleted
When your request is processed, we delete the personal data we hold for your account, including:
- Your account profile — email address, display name and unique account identifier;
- Your vehicle data stored in your account — cached vehicle status/telemetry, charging history, and charging/preconditioning schedules;
- Your push notification tokens (used for door/frunk/charge-port alerts);
- Any app preferences and cached data tied to your account.
Data cached locally on your phone is removed when you uninstall Zolt or clear the app's data.
Deleting your Zolt account does not affect your Tesla account; to revoke Zolt's vehicle
access, also remove the Zolt virtual key in the Tesla app (Vehicle → Keys).
What is kept, and for how long
- Deletion completed within 30 days of a verified request. Active copies of your account data are removed from our systems, and residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our normal backup cycle (within 90 days).
- Records we're legally required to keep — for example, transaction or billing records (such as charging invoices) — may be retained for the period required by law, after which they are deleted.
- Anonymous diagnostics — crash and stability reports that are not linked to your identity (and already exclude your VIN and location) may be retained to keep the app reliable.
